Has Anyone Ever Taken their Dog on an Airplane W/ Them? (NOT in Cargo- By Your Seat)

We're going to FL in Jan. & might need to bring Rudy (can't find a sitter). Jet Blue allows you to take them in their carrier on the plane w/ you. (Only 2 dogs per flight though). I was just wondering if anyone has had any experiences w/ this? Is it a disaster waiting to happen?
PS- He's REALLY good in his Kennel-Cab in the car- even long car rides.

Not me, but my sister saw a little doggie on a plane with her and she said he was so well behaved, he even came out of his crate thingy.

Yep, I already looked into it. It's $50 each way, but refundable if we decide not to bring him.

My friend did that with her pomeranian... she had to pay 60 and she used her pet carrier. Well her pooch got out and started running around the plane unbeknownst to my friend who was sleeping.

The flight attendant had to wake her up to get her dog.

We never brought a dog on a plane with the seats but we did bring our 4 ferrets on with us. I had to in 1 carrier and my DH and the other in another carrier. We couldn't sit in the same row though. It was fun!

You can't find anyone to watch him?? He's so cute!

As for your question-- a man was on a flight with me recently who had a dog with him, he was right in front of me and i didn't hear a peep the whole time.

Update: I got DH's aunt to watch him!
She has Rudy's sister, so he'll have a playmate. What a relief!!!

Taz has gone on the plane 3 times with me and he was an angel each time. He was problably so scared which made him so quiet. He has gained some weight so I doubt he can go in the cabin w/ me again.
