Duet Brides - we don't do engagement pics right?

I happily booked Duet last week and asked about engagement pics. They weren't included but could be done for a price. It didn't bother me at all. I was just wondering if it is necessary. Another photographer I went to said it was so they can see how you photograph and stuff.

I'd rather save the money and the time. You don't really need these right?

We're not doing engagement pictures. I don't feel worried that I don't have a rapport with the photographers. I think we'll be fine.

I definitely don't think you need it but I had Eric throw it in b/c I always feel like I have to negotiate a better deal. I don't think it's necessary though. People I know who have done it only did so becasue it was included. But if you have a talented photographer who knows wht he/she is doing, you don't need it. Bottom line is that every photographer at Duet is talented and take georgeous pics so you have nothing at all to worry about. The most important thing is booking a reputable, talented photographer which you did!

I didn't use Duet but I feel like I've seen e-pics from most of the brides I can think of that used them ...

we are doing e-pics. i wanted them for our stds.

We're not doing them simply because after 6 years, my FI and I have more then enough pictures of the two of us, engaged and pre-engaged.

Sometimes people use one of the e-pics to make a board for guests to sign, but that can be done with any pic.

They are part of the pkg that I chose with Duet. You can never have too many pcitures!

We did the e-pics. I didn't think we needed them either, but we don't have any professional shots of us toghether besides from the high school prom so we decided to have them done. I am glad we did because I love my pics! We actually used them for gifts for our parents at the RD and for the signing board, and I used on of the pics on our RD invitation.

Mine too and I booked last wk too. Interesting...need to check my contract. I would like to have them.

Our casual day/engagement pics are included in the Duet package we chose.

My engagement pics were included in the package but we didn't know that until after we booked

What package did you get?

I got the promotion package (silver platinum??) that was on the first page in the book he showed me. When I asked about the engagement pics he wanted more for them.

I wish I could have had them thrown in! I didn't see that they were included. Maybe I should try to call and get them now

We did not do engagement party pictures. We had so many family members/friends taking pictures, we really did not need them.
