Are you doing table names? Also do you like my table name idea?

Seeing LP's post made me think of this. Who is doing table names and what name scheme are you going with?

I had 2 ideas for table names but not sure if I am going to do it. Since all the flowers are going to be red roses and everyone knows how much I love flowers I was going to name each table after a different shade of red rose. For example some old school names like American Beauty and newer names like Charlotte and Black Magic. But the problem with that is everyone might not get the connection. The other idea I had was to name the tables after types of apples like McIntosh, red delicious, etc. Our favors are going to be apple pie and place cards might be whole apples. Thought that would be a cute way to tie the apple thing together. Still undecided. What do you think?

I think the flower idea is wonderful. How about placing a picture of the named flower on the card ~ maybe that will help with the reference. Or a faded picture of that particular flower in the background?

I really like both Ideas, but I don't think the guest will get the connection of the roses the apples on the other end will tie everything up together as one I love it

I am also doing table names I was thinking of love songs as a theme, ie always & forever, angel of mine, this I swear, etc you get the point

i think its a cute idea!!!!!!!

and i like dooodles of including the pic... i think that would help people 'put 2 and 2 together'

I just don't know if apple pie favors, apple place cards and apple table names would be apple overkill. Might just go for a table number with our monogram.

who cares if they get it? The names sound pretty and you will know what they mean.

Kim.. Im also stumped on this one!!

We were going to do 'famous couples' (tarzan and jane, ross and rachel, etc...) but our friends did that at their wedding in September, and now it will look like we copied

so then i was thinking of 'Things that go together'.... bread and butter, peanut butter and jelly.... but i'm not sure yet

We're doing a moon/star thing so our table names are going to be names of constellations and I'll use glitter stick on stars and make the constellation on the table cards. I gave this constellation project to FH who seems to have SOOOO much time on his hands...so far he's come up with the Big Dipper..........!

I like the apple idea. I was thinking of naming our tables for all the places we have been together, were we met etc. Another idea I had was naming them after famous lighthouses since that is our theme but I am worried about theme overkill. As my FH says- NO MORE LIGHTHOUSES!!!!

Everything is red and also incorporating apples...lol. Not really a theme. I told you I am nutty...losing it rather quickly!

okay....i say i like both ideas!!! therefore i am no help at all

HOWEVER, i am sorta leaning towards the rose thing....you are all about flowers and roses so i think with a pretty picture it would look awesome!

like i said in another post, i'm doing things about us. we had started a list but it kinda sucks:

end of the bridge

neens i really liked your idea of famous couples though...
