ladies who dye their hair blonde
does anyone here do it themselves>
i always got it done but i want to cut back right now to save some money. anyone here with brown hair color their hair blonde by themselves? highlight? anything?!! i miss my blonde hair!!!!

ewwww....ok, i tried, and i didn't always get the right color. the only times it came out a nice blonde was when i got it highlighted (whidh i do) and when i would be in the sun. i was a blond as a babe and young girl, so when i am in the sun, i get blond again, but if you are not a blonde (or weren't one as a child), going blond should be left to a professional. it is a trickly color.

i tried once and would NEVER do it again. its too risky.. i messed the color up so bad i had t o pay to go anyway to fix it. This is the one thing I do spend money on that is worth every penny!!!!

I have to agree, if you're hair is dark, get it done professionally. I get highlights done, my hair's like dark blonde (dirrty!).
I had friends and family doing it a couple of times and it was great, until the last time my sister did it and it was a disaster!!!
I went to a salon to fix it and have been getting it done professionally ever since.
IMO, a bad dye job really stands out. It's worth the money.

my mom does it for me..its 11 bucks for the box lol...and looks better then when i went to the salon.. i can give u more info if u want..but mine is done with the cap and is higlites not just blond dye ya throw on ur head lol

i just buy packets of "bw2".. and i have a big bottle of Clairol Developer.. (i sue 40.. just cuz i like it as white as possible).... just mix the appropraite amount and voila...

I just started dying my own hair to save money for the wedding and I have to tell you....I have gotten more compliments on my hair than ever before :) Alot of people tell me they prefer the way it looks now....I am sure I will still go back to the salon at some point....but for now its working out great!
