Spaying - Mochi is home (updated)

Hi all!

After long hard thought we decided to take Mochi to get it done. She is approching 6 months so we had to make a decision.

This morning, we just took our little baby to the vet. Poor baby was so scared when she got there that she didn't want to come out of her travel crate.

How long does it take for her to get over the operation?

Update : Mochi is home again! Poor girl is in pain but she looked sooo glad to see us. We picked her up last night! I can't wait for her to be back to her old self again =)

My co-workers are soooo cool! They got her presents for Christmas! One made cookies for her and the other bought her some rawhides and more cookies! I can't wait to go home to give it to her!

Re: Spraying - How long to recoop?

Usually less than a week. We had one of our cats done on Saturday, and she was pretty much back to normal last night.

Re: Spraying - How long to recoop?

Charlotte was home that day and we had to keep her sedated (yeah right...little bugger likes to jump) but a couple of days later, she got an infection and needed antibiotics...i think from all her jumping, a stitch got loose and she is fine.

Re: Spraying - How long to recoop?

i took my cat in to get spayed back in august. i dropped her off in the morning and FH picked her up in the afternoon. he said that she was so drugged up and shaking and stuff its a good thing he picked her up and not me cause i woulda been crying.

that night she was still wobbly and messy, they just said not to pick her up for about 1-2 weeks, if she jumped on my lap it was fine though. within 2 days she was up and walking everywhere, it did take her a while to jump on things, probably getting used to the stitches and all.
