They are ALWAYS pre-ordering heh

I have an order in for another book I wanted. It was due for release August of 2003, to date the NEW release date is August 2005!!!

*shrug*

I gotta call up my local B&N and have them and Harry Potter to my order list.

A publishing friend of mine works for Arthur Levine (the imprint of Scholastic that publishes HP). I will try to see if that date is real.

So mine will be mailed to my house on the day it's released!

Got it for like $20 after taxes

Only problem is, I won't LIVE there in July... (yes I asked if I can change the address they said no)

It's time for me to talk to my 'guy' there at B&N.

So I had a meeting with my book group last night and my friend from Scholastic, who works on Harry Potter, was telling us how she was sent to the UK for a long weekend because Rowling's agent wanted the revisions to the manuscript to be HAND DELIVERED. No chances were being taken that it might get 'lost in the mail'. My friend said she went thinking she would pick it up and then spend the weekend with a friend. Instead, they made her wait until her last day there to pick it up.

Even crazier, when the advance copies come in, only three come in for approval and after they are approved, they are put in the safe until the pub date in July!!!! Under lock and key! Wow!
