I'm going to have them done in about an hour, they are supposed to not harm your nails at all...and only 20 bucks, thats great, I'll let you know how it goes. The salon that does it is right by my office, so I decided since my office is absolutely dead today to go and do them....I'll let you know how they look if you want any feedback!Ok, so I did it, I loooove it, for a girl that has done tips before and my nails do not grow at all, I love it....Its basically a really high end version of press on nails (not as bad as it sounds) Its the entire nail, not just a tip, and they don't file down ur nail until you have no nail left like what they do for tips. Very natural looking too. I'll take pics a bit later and try to post them..but you basically have to take them off in two weeks, they try to get you there so you can take them off, not sure how thats going to work, but its 20 bucks, which is a steal I think. So far the only place I heard of this is where I went today which is Dashing Divas on 8th right by NYU off of univeristy and Broadway....but a woman in the salon said she heard a place in her area was doing it for a bit more, like 35...the salon is adorable, it was written up about in ym, bride, and elle....they also host bachelorette parites....all pink, cute and clean, let me know if you have any questions

I read an article a while back about Maximus Salon in SoHo. They have this new nail thing where they mix a paint/plastic type thing and paint that onto your nails. It is supposedly chip proof, b/c it isn't nail polish- its closer to polyurethane. you get fill-ins every two weeks, like you would with tips or wraps, since the plastic stuff grows out. i think it is $90-100. i was going to get it for my wedding. i know my description isn't very good...

Thanks for the review! I saw this in my email and was thinking of going.Two questions
1. Did you make an appt?
2. There'd be no issue applying them to really short nails - right? I'm trying (rather unsuccessfully) to stop biting my nails, but they are pretty short right now.

Very cool. Glad it worked out. Do they feel secure? I remember press on nails were so flimsy. Looking forward to pictures.Kim

they feel really secure, its not like press on nails its the only thing I could think of, since its the whole nail and not just the tip...much stronger than ur normal press on nail
...but I am sooo rough with my fingers that I would always break my nails and when I did get tips i would break them and be so upset bc I spent so muc money, I wont be so upset for 20 bucks you know...

ok here are the pics. I left them a little too long, next time I'm def doing them shorter, also they didn't put them on crooked, my fingers are all weird like that
