Calling all curvy girls!

Ok...does anyone else get sad when they see celebrities working hard to lose weight..especially when they don't need to?? A post on NWR was talking about Jessica Simpons weight loss...and I just wonder...what was wrong with her before??

I guess it irks me because young girls look up to these women...and they revolve their body image around that.

Or maybe i'm just jealous cause I will never know what its like to buy junior size clothing!! I have a thing called 'hips' that get in the way, lol...

I think it is weird how most celebs have broken marriages....maybe if they ate they would not be so cranky and hard to get along with. I also hate that so many celebs and models smoke, what message is that sending

I posted on that thread. By all means, I would have taken her weight before and saw nothing wrong with the way she looked before..but, the pictures I saw were in US Mag. and she was in a Bikini and looked very toned. The article even said that she didn't loose weight, she just toned up. I wish I could get my butt to the gym to get those kind of results...but, than again, she is filthy rich and probably has someone cook for her and train her every day. It's all part of her job.

i know she originally lost like 30 pounds a few years ago (after her first album) because it didn't sell as well as some others at the time - and her record company told her too...

i'm thinking it's not always the girls who want it, but the pressure of the powers that be... pretty sad.

i do understand what you are saying...it IS part of the job to look good and all...and she prob isn't the best example of 'too skinny' but i guess i thought she was jumping on the bandwagon.

Anyone see Lyndsey Lohan recently. Not that i am her biggest fan but i loved to see her wearing a bikini back awhile ago (the summer) and she looked healthy...now all of a sudden she looks stick thin....and i heard it was because she saw her 'fat' thighes in a tabloid. Give me a break. Her publicst says she only lost 8 pounds...so it has to be at least 20...

E!online says she lost 15 while she was hospitalized for exhaustion/additcion/whatever it was that she was hospitalized for after breaking up with 'Fez'.

I agree with whoever said it's not always the girls who 'want ot' but whoever is bankrolling them...

It's sad.

it is all part of their jobs. Example Jessica needs to lose it for Diasy in Dukes of hazards. Why I dont know, to me she looked good. But they do say drastic weight gain and weight loss has a major affect on your heart in later years I think I saw that on Dateline a few weeks back.

I could loose 30 or 40 lbs, like Oprah, or any other star-let, IF I had a trainer to drag me to the gym, a cook to cook for me, and then had a make up artist, hair dresser and clothes designer getting me all glammed up...but I don't soooo....i just wish I did! It would be such a help!
