honeymoon dilemma...
Hey everyone - just need some ideas for an affordable 4-day honeymoon in June. We were originally going to the Cayman Islands but hurricanes have destroyed our accomadations. We are also limited for time, since we get married on June 5th, graduate (in PA) on the 12th and have to start internship late June. Any advice for us? We were thinking a cabin away in the mountains somewhere. We will take a longer honeymoon later in the year (I hope) but still want to celebrate if even for a few days. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

What about Key West, or Cape Cod, or Montauk (Gurney's is GREAT!), Sullivan County upstate has tons to do, the Berkshires, Maine, the Outer Banks in North Carolina, Disney. I could go on!

Re: honeymoon dilemma...
It's June so you will have beautiful local weather, even spending time in a hotel in Manhatten would be nice. You could see a show one night. We are going to have the same problem. I 'hope' I will have a teaching job but I know I won't have tenure and I won't be able to take off in October for my honeymoon. We are planning to go either in the summer or over winter break. *from school*
Whatever you decide will be great I'm sure.

oh, definately check out the poconos. It looks so pretty! The resorts look amazing and lots of activities.....or try Martha's Vineyard. Also very, very beautiful. I love it there, especially that time of year.
Good Luck!

Jet Blue flys to Puerto Rico - you can get $59 flights (each way) annd a cheap hotel! Don't be discouraged, there are lots of deals out there. Try www.travelzoo.com and sign up for their weekly newsletter.

Try The Caves in Jamaica. www.islandoutpost.com Its not a typical jamaica vacation. All the reviewers on tripadvisor.com have given it 5 stars. We went last march for 3 or 4 nights. We really liked it.

Re: honeymoon dilemma...
Here are a couple of suggestions: Newport, Martha's Vineyard, Poconos if you want a mix of laid back with some nice restaurants. If you and your DH want to do a little more partying, South Beach, Key West, Vegas or Ocean City, Maryland are all good.

I priced the Florida Keys last year and it seemed really inexpensive. I have heard great things about it too.
