Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

quite a spread there. i guess it depends on where you work and how long of a commute you and DH want.

i am partial to the east northport/northport/fort salonga area.

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

I like Bellmore and Wantagh but am partial because I live in S.Bellmore. I wanted to be close enough to the city since DH and I both commute there. Bellmore was about the furthest we would look.

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

b/c i have family in sayville, bellmore and npt, i can say that all areas are nice and family oriented. it depends on what you want, though. you can have property or a tiny yard, a big colonial or a sweet cape...either way, sayville is close to the southern state, which leads to sagtikos which leads to lie or nsp. bellmore also has southern state while e.npt has pulaski road which leads to sagtikos and then nsp. whichever area, a parkway is close by.

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

I love Bellmore. I just moved here in July...I used to live in lynbrook. I gotta say Bellmore is really quiet...All the shopping is local and everyone that I have met so far is friendly.

Danielle has lived here her whole life.

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

I prefer Sayville to E Npt just b/c I find E Npt to be too congested. But of all those you listed, E Npt has the best schools.

I like Kings Park but the town has nothing much to it.

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

I grew up in Commack, close to both Kings Park and East Northport. Can't really go wrong with either area - both great school districts and great neighborhoods.

We're in KP now and really like the area. Love the proximity to the water and we're only a few minutes off the parkway which is super convenient. But its true there's not much to the town. Have to travel to Smithtown or Northport for the good sushi restaurants

KP has lots of different areas with different feels to them. We're in the Charter Oaks development and its fantastic. We also liked the feel of the San Remo neighborhood when we were looking around.

There are still some great values to be found in KP.

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

I grew up in the town over from Bellmore (Merrick) and love Bellmore. You are not too far from the city (Approx. 50 min by train) and it has alot of great restaurants, good doctors, movie theater, etc. The homes are really nice and esp in South Bellmore, a great school district.

I grew up in Kings Park and I loved it there. I wish I could afford to stay there! Like Lisa said, you are very close to the water and the parkways. The school district is also a good one. The highschool has block scheduling... I loved that!

Re: Sayville, Bellmore, Wantagh, East Northport, Kings Park

Great towns! Sayville is great bc it's right near the water and has the cutest town and East Northport is a great family neighborhood with good schools. I don't think you can really go wrong in any of the neighborhoods you chose. I'd do some research and look on mlsli.com at houses in your price range to see which neighborhood best meets your needs.
