So many new September mommies, A question...
I recently found out I am pregnant too! Yay!I am really really excited but super nervous about the M word as well. How did you ladies get through the first three months? Is there anything I could do to lessen my chances or is it sort of predetermined? Are there anyways to know if you are a candidate for it ahead of time? My mother had a miscarriage and I am petrified about it. Please help.

I don't think its predetermined - but you really have to just take it easy - relax - which is very difficult - all new pregnant mommies go through this, whether its your 1st, 2nd , 3rd - it doesn't matter - Just take extra special care of yourself.ETA: I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Re: So many new September mommies, A question...
Congrats on being prego!!! There is nothing you can do about a miscarriage. Its all in mother natures hands. If the fetus is developing normally then all will be well and you will have a baby in 9 months but if something goes wrong you wont and it will die. As awful as that sounds its for the best. Having something that will not survive to full term or outside the womb terminate itself before it gets too far is just natures way of taking care of itself. There is nothing you can do about it and there is no way to know if you are going to have all healthy babies or 4 miscarriages in a row. Just relax, be happy, take care of yourself and hopefully all will be ok!!

Congratulations. Its not predetermined. Just try to take good care of yourself. Don't lift anything heavy and make sure you take your prenatal vitamins.

Just wnated to say congrats! and to take it easy, most m/c's happen b/c of a chromosone defect. one to many or one to less something like that. and there is nothing YOU CAN do about that.Just try and relax and not think about it (i know i know easier said then done) i was told i was going to have one and well it was a horrible horrible feeling to go home and 'wait' it never happened and they were all wrong. My sweetheart will bless my life in 16 more weeks....
