I took the NYSC Total Body Cond. Class today....
and I was pathetic. I run 5 miles 4-5 days a week and I could barely complete any of the sets....it was embarassing! I am even already sore and the class was 2 hours ago!!
This just proves to me how important strength training really is. I am going to take this class once a week and really try to start building some muscle!!

keep it up though
never feel embarassed about how you compare to others in a class...everyone is so worried about how they look that they wont even pay attention to you
dont give up---strength training is awesome....you will burn something like twice as many calories all day is you have more muscle than fat
just imagine burning calories for sitting on our butts...i love it!

I do more cardio than strength training too. In my mind I know both are just as important, but I get really bored lifting weights.
