OK... Final BM dress decision time!! and I mean it this time!

I picked out a dress.... I think... I am so bad at making decisions. (it is the first picture)

Anyway, everything at the wedding is going to be black magic roses... My dress is ivory with antique gold beading on the top and antique gold rouching (sp?) on the train. For you Reem fan's its Reem's 'Wrap'.

Anyway, I have been long debating over the bm dresses, from red to black to light silver to gold...

I am now between two colors.... Dessy's claret and gold....

It is an August evening wedding at the Carlyle... I guess either way the girls will carry cream roses... and everything at the hall will be red and gold...

I am afraid the red will be too bright... and I was hoping the gold would contrast nicely with my gown... but I can't decide. Help Me!

Please be honest! I keep hearing that red is not a summer color and my mom is talking me out of it- honestly I did want a softer color to compliment the black magic roses but I can't find one I like.

ok imo...i don't like the champagne color...I don't know what claret looks like so i can't say...
BUT red and deep forms of it can, imo be used in August

OK, because I used Claret, I am patial to this color..its a red, but its toned down a little bit....(see my pic attached)

IMHO, the champagne color does not do justice for a lot of people...for me, it just washes me out...

I like the red, but I think the gold is a little more summery and goes with ivory nicely too

Hey-- I love the gold.. I am wearing a Reem too and I am using gold accents throughout the wedding to accent my dress..

That's my vote!!

I say gold...big fan of it...plus I think it would look gorgeous with the cream roses. Especially for a summer wedding. I agree with you that the lighter colors give a wedding a softer look, just keep looking till you find one you like. If you don't you can always fall back on the red. JMO. Hope I helped.

Even tho you want this decision to be made, it seems to me that you are so undecided and lookin gat two such different colors that you're not really sure yet. Could you be settling?

What do your girls think? Does Reems show any pictures of your gown with bridesmaid dresses?

The claret in teh picture is pretty. I think the gold color might be a little washed out on some people. JMO

Sorry...id have to agree with ur mom! I dont particually care for the claret! I looked at the page, and the dress, and I think the redish color is going to be a little to much. I think that everyone of your BMs has to have a nice skin color to look nice in a bright red like that. If you have any pale skin colored BMs im not sure it would look nice. I do however, like the gold, i think it is a nice color, and i also like the dress! Hope that helps!!!

The gold dress is beautiful and classy. Red you may like now but could regret for being to bright later on down the road or even when you look back on your wedding/pictures 10 years from now. I would always go with the more toned down color. I am having a color issue as well for my own wedding. It is an outdoor wedding on the beach in June and I wanted to do a bright tropical color (fusia, the new pink that is out), but I am sort of leaning to my second choice color a light green just because I may regret it later. My friend had that exact dress in that exact gold color and it looked beautiful. BUt, all of her girls were olive complexion (with tans, it was the summer) and they all had dark hair. I thougth they were breathtaking.

thanks for your opinons girls... you're the best! I love love red, but I don't think I love it for bm dresses.. i just wanted a softer non pastely color.... the red it a bit too bright!
