Bridal Expo this weekend 1/9 LI Marriot

Is anyone going? I got a call from Skyine orchestras and they said it starts at 12 and if you say you're there to see the band, Code Bleu, you'll get in for free. I'm going to go, I haven't been to a bridal show since last february and I need some new bridal magazines, plus the chance to win a honeymoon doens't hurt!

we are going to the one on 1/22 at the li Marriott. we've been to one before and it was helpful, but we weren't at the point where we we planning anything, so it was a little overwhelming. but now, when we go, we have specific goals, so we can avoid the things we already have.

Yeah when i went I was totally overwhelmed, but now it'll be fun. Don't worry about getting there late. Basically you wander around and there's nothing really structured until the fashion show, but even then you cna continue to walk around.

My FH is away on business so I dont think so

Besides.. we went to one when we first got engaged and all it gave me was a bunch on unwanted phone calls and emails from vendors LOL

How do you prevent that? Not using your real email/phone number/address???

The first time I went to the Bridal Expo, I got TONS of unwanted phone calls...My suggestion is to not give out your real phone number unless you are really interested....The biggest scam I received was the ' you won china'...Don't fall for it!

FH & I will be there just for the Code Bleu performance...So if anyone is there, I will see you around 215ish

Depending on if my best friend has her baby (1-21). I will go to the 1-22 one. What time and where on 1-22. I've never been to one yet. even though i've been planning my wedding since long before I got engaged. I was always to chicken to go without being engaged. does that sound silly.

i was there!!! they were awesome.... we'll see what happens if i get tons of bad calls..

the guy from the commack wedding center was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

The commack guy was insane! This older women in fornt of me turns around and says something like 'what a moron!' hahaha...'you know all you ladies like...' 'io'm just a guy I know nothing about dresses' 'you can rent richie here as a ring bearer' was he kidding or what! augh!

I went to the same expo last year, it was much better last time, I really did't get too many calls. The idea is only give your phone # if you're really interested. They get you with the contests and everything. The calls will usually stop after a few weeks. I set up some good appointments, so it was cool. A vendor recognized me from LIW, which was cool

We ended up not attending...FH & I were enroute to go & then FBIL called us about an open house in his neighborhood...We got sidetracked at the house...FH & I will have to attend other showcases to see bands...How did you like Code Bleu??

Code Bleu was awesome. I actually am getting their DVD to me - the leader Sean just called.

We are probably doing a DJ, but hearing them made me want a band and they ARE free for my wedding day. And they are pretty reasonable for a band.

FH is like, no band, no way! I'll have to change his mind!

Leese, did you discuss the whole not getting on for free thing with them? their tbale was so mobbed I didn't get to it. They really did sound good though!
