3 seems like a great age for a ring bearer. I think it would be really cute.

Im thinking about having him walk me down the aisle with my dad?

Do you think he should be ring bearer instead?

Re: How can I include my 3 year old son in my ceremony?

I forget who, but someone had a little boy go down the aisle after the flowergirl and yell 'the bride is coming, the bride is coming' and rang a bell...

I think that is an adorable idea and If I had eheard about it before my wedding, would have used my nephew for that!!!!!!!!!

I think he should walk you down with your dad. My FH is making his 5 year old son (along with his brother) his best man (if all works out)

Re: How can I include my 3 year old son in my ceremony?

I think your son deserves a more special role than just a ring bearer. Why don't you have him as part of the actual ceremony. After you and your DH exchange rings and vows you can have a special part for your son. Your DH can give your son a special firefighter necklace and they can exchange vows with each other saying that they will from that moment forward be part of a new family together.
