1st gown shopping trip...need advice
I'm planning to get my dress made but would like to start trying different styles on. Any tips to trying gowns on? Like what's the best "support" underwear to wear? Strapless bra I assume? And those tummy tuckers that look like a skirt? Where is the best place to buy affordable undergarments / body shapers? TIA

You should have a strapless bra and a crinoline. Full service salons usually provide you with one if you don't have one. So, when you call to make appointments you should ask them if they will provide you with that. However, you should purchase a good strapless (corset like) to try on gowns. Perhaps purchase the one you plan to wear with your gown. I know for sure, if some places don't have the bra for you to try on, they will have the crinoline.

Re: 1st gown shopping trip...need advice
My best first shopping experience was at a non full service place. David's bridal! LOL.. I had no idea what I liked, or what I wanted. I went to David's. They had the slips, and the strapless bras for you. But they also let you look through the dresses and pull out whatever you wanted and try them on, with assistance from a BM! If you didn't like it, off it went. I felt so at ease and was able to get a great idea of the dress of my dreams and went somewhere else and found it. Best of Luck!!
