Let's Post our WEDDING DAY TIMELINES!!!
NEW Let's Post do our Wedding Day Timeline!Okay Ladies, Let's post our wedding day timeline. I'm trying to figure out mine and I figure that we can all help each other. Please list important information or any concerns that you may have that you want feedback on before posting your schedule. This can help us make suggestions for your timeline.
Here's mine, please tell me what you think and post your own!
Important Information:
1) Ceremony starts @4pm; CH starts at 8pm; Reception is from 8-1am
2) I live about 10 min away from the Church
3) I'm thinking about getting my hair done in a salon in Manhatten. (next to Canel street). Mapquest said it should take 22 minutes to drive there. I might take the train instead (oh, I live in Brooklyn.) The salon said the earliest they can get me in is 9am
4)Church is about 45 min away from Hall. I'm taking all my pictures on the grounds at the Hall.
5) Florist is coming at 1pm. Photographer is coming at 2pm, Videographer is coming at 1pm
Questions I need help on:
a)I don't know if what time to tell the girls to arrive? I didn't schedule in their makeup yet. Right now, the make-up artist that I am thinking about going with says it takes 20 min to do the makeup and 30 min for me.
b) Do we get dressed (make-up, etc) before the photographer comes? If so, how do they get the getting ready shots? My videographer wants to come before the photographer to do the getting ready shots, so should I schedule my makeup for after the videographer is there? Do I just pretend to redo it when the photographer comes?
Tentative Timeline:
7:00am: WAKEUP
7:10-8:00: BATH/Shower
8:00-8:15: Eat Breakfast
8:15: Leave to get to Salon
9:00-10:30: Hair Appt
10:30-11:30: Travel Back Home
11:30-12:30: Eat Lunch with Mom and Sis
12:30-12:45: Wash/up?
1:00pm: Flowers Arrive; Videographer Arrives,
12:45-1:30: Get Dressed
1:30-2:00: Do my Makeup?
2:00: PHOTOGRAPHER ARRIVES FOR PICS
2:00-3:30: Take PICs
3:15: Limos Arrive
3:30: Check to make sure I have everything
3:35: Leave for Church
4:00pm: I'm getting Married!
5:15: Leave Church
6:30: Arrive at CHCC
6:30-8:00: Take Pictures
8:00 Cocktail hour
PS: I made a mistake and posted this on the BHB board.
PPS: I think I need ALOT OF HELP on my timeline. Do you think I'm craming too much in? Am I overlooking anything?

Oh goodness----you're MUCH more organized than I am......maybe you and my FH should talk---that's ALL he keeps talking about is the 'TIMING TIMING TIMING!!!!' of everything...
Haven't even begun to think about it yet---we know that photos are starting around 4, and guests will begin drinking at 6:30.....that's about as far as I got.....oh yes, and the Cristal will arrive in the Bridal Suite at exactly 6:15pm!!!
Although--your timeline seems fairly accurate....I might just have to copy and paste a few things.....

1:00 pm Reception Starts – Bride & Groom GRAND Entrance
Have champagne being poured for toasts
1:00-1:10 – Bride & groom first dance – two songs & rest of BP joins in on 3rd song
1:10-1-15 Wedding party Dance
(dinner is now starting to be placed on tables)
1:15- 1:30 Blesing & Toasts
1:30-140 – sololist –
1:15 – 2:30 – Main Course
2:30 – 3:30 – Open Dancing
3:30-345 – Cake cutting
4:00-4:15 garter couple dance
415-4:30pm – Wishing well for cp’s
430-500 pm – Last Open dancing

I would say for your girls to get there at least 2 hours ahead of time and then ask the photographer what time they are coming and what specific shots they want. Thats really tricky about the make-up but depending on how big your bp is, the make-up artist may tell you she HAS to start on the make-up before photographer or you'll run out of time. The other thing if you get everyone getting ready in, is that is that more hours you aer paying the videographer....

Don't worry you have a lot of time still. And in terms of scheduling, I believe you are focussing on the important things! Drinks, food, drinks,
Anyways, I think you will have a better idea of scheduling once you book the rest of you vendors. If you booked your photographer, florist, transportation, makeup and hair stylist. Then you can start on your schedule . (Please note, I still have NOT booked my make-up artist or stylist yet). But honestly, you will make so many changes between now and then, that it makes no sense to stress out over it!

So, if the makeup artist need to start at 9am, I should tell the girls to get to my house for 7am? Hmmn, maybe I should do a sleepover party.. The photographer is definetly coming at 2pm to take the standard shots I guess of us all together. The issue that going to decide what time the BM get there is the makeup artist. I guess once I book one I will have a better idea. Oh, I have 6 BM and my mom who wants to do makeup.
The videographer does not charge overtime. He stays until the end of the reception. I'm paying extra to have him come to the house to film me getting ready,and he said that he likes to get there 1 hour before the photographer.

5PM-photographer arrives as I slip on my dress! Limo picks up FH and his GM and Mom
5:10PM-Limo picks up me and my BM and family.
5:30PM-Meet my FH at arboretum for pics
7:30-Flute quartet starts to play
8PM-Ceremony
8:30-9:30PM-Cocktail hour
9:30PM-10PM-Photo montage, Grand Entrance,first dance, toast(s), combination course
10:30-11:15PM Dancing!
11:15PM -Main course
