can anyone recommend a travel agent?

I live in North Bellmore. I need a travel agent. I usually book online so I have never used one before. How does it work? Do you pay them? How Much?

I really want to use one so I get a good deal with air and hotel. Any thoughts?

Re: can anyone recommend a travel agent?

I love my TA but she's e-based. You can call her, if you wish, just to feel her out.
Hayley from Beach Bum Vacations her number is (877) 943-8282.

She got us the best deal on our HM by far!

Re: can anyone recommend a travel agent?

usually there is no seperate fee for using a travel agent.. they make a percentage from the profit from the airline, resort, cruise line, hotel, and so on...

I use to work for an awesome girl named Melissa...shes young herself, and loves planning honeymoons.. shes located in pt.jeff, but does business over the phone ALL the time... when I worked there people from Florida would call and do business with her...

The name is Aztec Everyday Travel...her name is Melissa Legg-Gagliano 6319246100... shes been everywhere...so shes can recomend alot of great spots.. there website is below...

Re: can anyone recommend a travel agent?

Use my mom-I've recommended her to a lot of brides on this board-she is planning my honeymoon to Tahiti and she is very knowledgeale about a lot of vacation/honeymoon hot spots. She just booked a trip for a couple to the Dominican Republic which is very popular right now-there's a new all inclusive hotel there and it is VERY affordable. Of course, I don't know where you are thinking of spending your honeymoon but she can definitely help you out and give you a lot of information(no cost). She also travels a lot wqith my Dad so she has first hand experience on a lot of places. Her name is Laura and her agency is called LJ's getaways. Her number is 631-874-3105. Good luck!

Re: can anyone recommend a travel agent?

John from MAS Travel (a LIW vendor) is awesome!! We booked our honeymoon with him and he was the only travel agent out of the 4 or so that I spoke with who got us a 7th night free and a junior suite. His price was still $600 cheaper than the next best agent who didn't even get us a junior suite. He's also really knowledgable and super sweet.
