DOGGONEIT!! My girlfriend cancelled on me! UGHHHH!

I had a dear friend cancel doing my make-up and my bridal parties make-up. I KNEW not to count on her. I'd rather had paid for a trial and all the rest and just know I had it all set than mess with friends and favors,but she insisted that she could do it. so I went ahead and marked her down for it. so now that I'm going around and firming up plans, I called and asked her about specifics and when we can get together for a trial run, blah, blah, blah and she bails. she doesn't want to overcommit and underdeliver because she has a new job and it may cut into her schedule. I do understand that, and I'm glad she gave me this much notice (that I actually bugged her about) but I just had to vent! I'm not going to give her a tough time about it, I'm sure I'll find someone else, or even do it myself, but it just kinda rots, you know...oh well...life goes on!

UGH!!! I'm telling you there is something in the air today. I feel your pain. Take comfort in the fact that you do still have some time. I could give you the name of mine but he's a male and runs a salon that I've been going to for 14 years. I don't think he normally does bride's makeup at their houses it's just that he actually lives one town over from me (the salons in Bethpage but we live in Suffolk) and I'm getting married really early on a Monday.

Let me know if you get stuck though.

That totally blows. And to add salt to the wound she never even called you, she fessed up when she was backed into a corner

But, like the others said, you still have anytime to find replacements. Maybe its a blessing in disguise. You may find someone elses work so much better!

thanks girls! you're all so right- not that great of a thing for my friend to do BUT i do think its a blessing! now i'm going to go have some fun at make-up trials!!
