good makeup artist for bride w/ alleriges

Hi everyone-- I need a good makeup artist who will understand that I might be allergic to some products. I do not always find that the brand of makeup is a good predictor of what I will be allergic to. When I try new makeup, it is just hit or miss.

MOST IMPORTANT----- I need someone who understands that I cannot wear mascara at all. Some makeup artsists try to convince me that their brand is ok, or that I will be fine if I just do the tip of my lashes. I have not found anything that works and I want someone who will just work around that and agree not to use mascara at all.

Obviously, I will have a trial to see if the person's makeup agrees with me.

I would suggest Jillian from Gorgeous faces because I know she uses a mineral based makeup that was developed by a woman who has rosacia and very sensative skin--that might be helpful toward your allergies. I can't imagine her telling you that you HAVE to wear mascara if you don't want to.

try Oksana...she's wonderful... she is a vendor on here... great to work with and very understanding of what you want done...

I would also have to suggest Oksana. My fmil has the same allergies and can not wear MANY different brands of makeup and no mascara whatsoever. Something happens to her eye when she uses it and it gets really red and things start to get blurry.... its really bad.

Anyway we contacted Oksana and told her the situation and she met with my fmil for a trial. Well she didnt have a reaction to anything! She even slept with it on just to make sure and everything was fine. She was so excited to find out she will actually be able to wear makeup to her sons wedding!

Do you wear any department store make up like Origins, Clinique, MAC etc etc? If so, you could always go to one of their counters to see if any of their representatives do wedding make up (which many of them do!). Good Luck!

I am allgeric to EVERYTHING, inclduing all products containing fragrance.

Howver, when I went to Oksana, I had no reactions to the cosmetics she used what so ever. BUT, I use a fragrance free face lotion before I put on makeup, to add resistance to my allergies.
