Signing our contract tomorrow

Good morning ladies and happy Friday!!

I need some advice or pointers. We are going to sign our contract tomorrow at Fox Hollow. Is there anything we should be aware of or pay close attention to? Should I take pictures? Any advice or suggestions are welcome.

congrats! as far as advise, don't sign until you are completely satisifed. if changes need to be made, have them make changes right there and make sure you approve the contract first.

okay i will give you a few pointers since i have been back there after signing my contract to make revisions because you should 'GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING' (sorry not yelling at all) but it is so important. there are always things said when discussing but not put in writing.
for example:
-The time you are allowed to get there for pictures you want to make sure they put that in writing.
-In my case i am having my sister who is a pastry chef make my cake. i wanted to make sure she would be able to without and trouble.
-How many servers per person. when we 'disscused' it was different then when i went there to get it in writing.
-Because my sis is making my cake i wanted to make sure that credit went towards the chocolate fountain i want. i also had them put that in writing too

I think my bm must think i am a nut but i dont want anything going wrong that day. well nothing that i cannot control or justify to them.

But you know whatever makes me sleep at night will help!

I took pictures of everything at every place I went to and when I went to sign the contract. So, I suggest that. I reference it all now (like seeing the plates and what they look like or what the exact color of something is...it's important!).

I would write everything (I actually printed all my sticking points and my BM attached it to my contract) down before you go - and use that to confirm everything on the contract. Try to remember anything that they said while touring and include it. I found that there were a couple of things at my hall that she had mentioned but when it came to the contract she had forgotten she had promised it. So when I reminded her, she put it down. Just get everything that is super important written down.

Make sure you know how much you lose if you decide not to go with them, ask about inclement weather, what happens... make sure the times are listed and if there are special requests (for me, it was adding an Italian section to my cocktail hour and lobster to the dinner) - you have that in there.

Congrats!!!...Just like the other girls said...read the whole contract and if they throw anything in for you make sure they put it on the contract

Thanks for all of your advice! I am going to take pictures tomorrow, much to FH dislike. I am going to make sure that everything they said is written down. I am excited but nervous.
