how much can i charge for tutoring? i am a certified teacher

was at curves and they have abulliten board that you can put business cards on and i asked the lady wortking the desk if i coud put a sign up for tutoring. She said yes and stareted asking me what grade and subjects i would tutor.So happens she has a nephew who in the 6th grade which is what i teach and needs help in Math which is what subject I teach so her sister is suppose to call me. How much should i/ could i charge?She said her BIl is a nypod dxetective and are willing to pay a decent amount but nothign outrageous.

In my school most people charge between 50-60 an hour

I think it depends on what district you are in... 50-60+ sounds good... I wouldn't go any lower than $40... my school district pays $35/hr for their tutors for the kids that are on home tutoring... and they under pay for everything!

I've charged anywhere between 60-90 hr depending on the child's weakness and disability.

i charge $45 and hour but i tutor many kids in the school I work in and I know the parents. I could charge so much more since I have my masters in Rdg but I feel bad since mnay of these families dont have a lot of money.

I always charged $50 an hour, but most people that I teach with charge more.

i charge 40...i always feel bad charging more...maybe i should tho....after may i will have my masters in reading....should i charge more for new clients???
