Are you using the same place for video and photography???

I have noticed that people are using different places for video and photography.

I'm using Patken for both. I have heard different opinions either way but most of my friends who are already married recommended using the same place if at all possible.

I have heard people say that those from the same company tend to work better together & don't overpower one another. But I am sure brides who have used different companies have also had fine experiences.
I personally would rather deal with one less vendor. One less thing to worry about!

I am using Patken for both. I would rather just deal with one vendor for both instead of having to worry about two seperate ones.

We used different vendors for each. Neither our photog nor our videographer do the other. I wanted a vendor that just concentrated on one thing - if you think about it neither one really has anything to do with the other.

you're absolutely right. usually when you get both from the same place you have; a photographer who throws in video to make more money, or a videographer who throws in photography to make more money.

photography and video are different forms of art. A lot of the time the quality of video you get from a photographer who adds video to make a package isn't as good. most videographers and photographers studied in their field for quite some time.

on the other hand if you care more about the photos but still want some sort of video it's ok to go this route. or vice versa.

I'm using Patken for photos and Pennylane Productions for video. I liked Patken video but I wanted to shop around to see if I could get it for less expensive. I really wanted to have the videographer come to my house and see me get ready. I was actually able to get that and much more for less than what Patken would have charged for video. In addition, FH and I really like Pennylane's work alot better. I love the way they capture the emotion and they do it without any cheese. Patken does too, but I justed preferred Pennylane work and the price was bettered too.

I think it's easier to go with the same company because then you don't have to shop around. But, shopping around never hurted anyone and sometimes you are pleasantly surprise!

We are using different companies for photo and video. I wanted to use a co. for video that just is strictly video. Our photo. co. is more focused in on photos.

I am using Patken for photos and Wild Rose Video for Videography. They have worked together in the past quite often so I'm confident everything will be fine.

We used 2 different vendors. Marquee for photography and Motion Pictures for Videography.

Yes. I am using Jessica Photography. When you book both photo and video they give you a package deal

We used Silverfox for both. Easier and I figured they already know how to work together which is a plus for me

I think we are going to use The Pros for both Video/photo...they have really good packages and I've worked with them previously and liked the service.
