Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

All of the above. Absolutely no cheesy group dances and

no

'Celebrate' Kool and the Gang
'What a Wonderful World'- FH's first wedding song

Oh and easy on the Frank Sinatra because I had an ex who was a Sinatra freak... morning, noon and night and acted like he was in the Rat Pack.

Hmmmm... I can't think of the rest but I know there are some more.

Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

I said no conga line, no chicken dance, no electric slide. I didn't ask for any group participation dances but they did one anyway. Actually I was OK with it. Everyone else loved it and thought it was fun so I didn't complain.

Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

Absolutely No Group Dancing, where people have to get into a line or some formation...not happening at my wedding. Also to skip right over the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's....not too pickey...lol

Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

Ah yes. there will be no line or group dancing and under NO circumstances will anyone other than hired musicians sing at my function. One too many drinks can cause utter humiliation to the person as well as to the couple. Any violation of above said statements will nullify all contracts.

Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

Definetly agree with the no group dance stupidness. That's why I picked the DJ I did. My friends used them at thier wedding. Her boss went up to the DJ and asked for the chicken dance and the DJ said NO!! I also don't want any top 40 at all. No Brittney, boy bands, or Z100 music of any kind. And no Neil Diamond. And I hate that 'oh what a night' song

Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

I'm using DJ Unlimited. They have a great song list that you can look at and print out online. They have a large variety of music, they even had tha Misfits, not that I would play that at my wedding, but it was nice that they have such a varied list. Plus they threw in the basic light package for free.

No country music! All my crazy friends from virginia are not going to be requesting that!

Also, no group songs except for Paradise and maybe Cotton Eyed Joe.

Re: Please share your 'Do not Play' Song List

I remember having gone to my cousin's wedding where the band played 'Lady Marmalade' (before the remake was done) and thought to myself...'Why would a bride want a song about a hooker at her wedding?' I suppose it is all a matter of taste - BAD taste. Great song though!
