The way I am treated by my supervisor.
I'm sick everyday...Maybe a different type of person would not get herself so worked up---but I can't help it!
I cry every morning out of fear of having to deal with this woman.
I'm supposed to meet with her supervisor, but I'm not sure how much I should let my emotions shine through...

Re: Legal question---work related...
Thats how my last job was. My boss treated me so horrendously that I would come home and cry every night. He was a horrible person, and he got me fired just because I wouldn't take his crap. How he still has his job I don't know. I think he has dirt on the owner.
I hate my current job, but it doesn't make me cry. Just makes me want to strangle someone.
good luck with the supervisor.

Re: Legal question---work related...
Cant really sue your co for making you depressed - unless they were discriminating against you and that is what is causing the depression.Depression is a disability under the ADA. If you are diagnosed for depression and you tell your co & ask for accomodations (ie - not to have to work for that supervisor anymore) and you feel you are being discriminated against - then you might have a cause of action. But a MD has to diagnose and your co needs to know about it before they can be said to have discriminated against you.
If you just cant take right now - you can take upaid leave under the Family Medical Leave Act (as long as you have worked there for a year). If they refuse to give you leave or retaliate against you for seeking leave - then you also have a cause of action.
Other than that - you cant just sue an employer for emotional distress, etc.
