Repost from BHB: Order BM dress on 3/5 for 7/30 Wedding?

FMIL was going to order her dress on March 5th for our July 30th wedding. She was probably going to order a BM dress rather than a 'MOB/G'-type style. I know that it usually takes 3-4 months for the dress to come in according to Wedding Salon of Manhasset. Do you thnk ordering on 3/5 is enough time? At the latest the dress should arrive on July 5th right? That should be enough time for alterations I think.

She'd be ordering it from Wedding Salon, so if any of you have specific experiences with their ordering schedule, I'd appreciate your thoughts especially. Thanks for your help!

Hello Date Twin!!

I'm not sure about the Wedding Salon, but a couple of places I went to suggested my girls order their dresses by the end of January, the latest.

I think March 5th will probable give your FMIL enough time to get and alter her dress, but she may want to get it earlier to be on the safe side. Do you know why is she waiting till March 5th anyway?

My MOH, my sister who is my only attendent hasn't even FOUND her dress and I am getting married two weeks before you. She better get on the ball!!!!
