Re: BRIDAL SHOWER FAVORS

hmmmmm.
i have an idea but it would mean that you would have to do alot of the work yourself but it would be very affordable for favors..

i was in target last night registering and they have that new dollar section in the front of the store - in that section they had glass martini glasses selling for a dollar a piece as well as packages of 6 of the little charms to dangle from the glass - in all martini variations...

i was thinking what a great idea it would be to have the martini glass, with the dangling charm on it - fill them with some sort of candy and wrap them up in cellophane........ maybe bright pinks and green -with pretty ribbon - i think it would lok so nice and proablby be like 3 dollars a piece

plus ive seen - invitations with martini motifs ---- that you could pul through the whole theme of teh shower

that would be nice since you said your sis is from manhatten - what is more manhatten then cosmos and martinis?

What a great idea! If I was planning my own shower I'd steal it!

Thats so funny you said this. My BM's are doing the EXACT SAME THING!!!!! Since Im the crafty one of the bunch, they gave me the wine charms so I could change the beading on it. They beads didnt match the cosmo theme, so I replaced them with red and pink beads. They came out beautifully!!! JCDesignz - Great minds think alike!!!

Re: BRIDAL SHOWER FAVORS

Depending on whether or not you wish your favor to be decorative or functional, you can go to many types of places to buy them. For my sister in law' shower, those of us making the shower happened upon our favors by accident at a close out center - ODD-JOB. They were little galvanized metal watering cans with purple flowers painted on the front filled with a lavender candle. It just so happened that her colors were purple and lavender. Add a some cellophane, printed ribbons and a little plastic thingy with a bell on it and voila. You can make something that looks unassuming into something quite lovely with the right packaging.
