Cruise / Wedding Rings

We just got back from our week-long cruise on the Carnival Destiny and we had a fabulous time! Anyone going on their honeymoon, you have a wonderful week to look forward to.

The jewelry was so inexpensive in the Carribbean that we bought our wedding bands there too! I was having such a hard time finding a band to match my engagement ring because of the unique design. I found a PERFECT match in St. Thomas! I can't believe it! My Fiance's ring is really cool too..

Glad to hear you had a great time!!! We will be going for our honeymoon in July. Do you have any suggestions about shore excursions to take(or avoid), places to shop, or anything else that will make our trip even better?

I am an only child and my fi has just one sister(my MOH) so siblings aren't an option. I was thinking about having two people hand out programs and sort of direct them to their seats when they give them the program. Mom doesn't like this idea because 'the handing out of programs is a kids job. A kid won't direct people to their seats and you won't find anyone older who would be happy to do the job for you'

I would highly recommend getting all of your shopping out of the way in St. Thomas EARLY in the morning. Their prices are fantastic on jewelry at Omni Jewelers and the liquor is very cheap if you want to stock your bar. In the afternoon you should take the ferry to St. John (Trunk Bay). It is a Carnival Shore Excursion (you can also go on your own). The beach is rated #2 in the world next to one in Australia and is SO beautiful! The boat tour guide is very funny too.

St. Lucia was okay. It has thick vegetation and isn't too built up. Go to see the waterfall/rainforest. Beaches are not good at all in the area that we dock. They are better on the North shore which is a far drive.
