Anyone NOT have engagement pic done??

Hi...we are getting married in 28 days!! And we haven't had our engagement pictures taken. We are using Patken. Is this a big deal? Should we try and go before the wedding or is it too late?

We're not doing it. First we've been engaged like three years,second we are over 30, and finally we already have a baby. I think the picture thing is more for new young couples.

We got engaged Christmas Eve and are getting married in June so I didn't bother having it done. We will have a casual pic taken and framed to be signed at the wedding - Thanks LIW for the info

Not a big deal at all! My MOH (also used Patken) and had planned her wedding in 3 1/2 weeks, so they did not have time for an engagement shoot!

We didn't do it. We wer also only engaged for less than a year, & we weren't doing a formal announcement in a newspaper, so I didn't really have any use for them.

impressive!

They were engaged for a year and were going to get married after buying their house, but HIS parents wanted their last names to be the same on the deed

so they got married before the closing (about 2 mos before). His parents paid for the hall, so she really could not complain!

probably not having one. we have enough expenses on our plate. my photograpgher is totally amazing but at the moment i can find other places to put our $375

Honestly, I haven't even thought of engagement pics. I am not even having an engagement party. I would much rather save my money for my wedding.

We didn't have an official one done, but we used one that we took Christmas Eve morning after we got engaged.

We are not having pics done ..... Noone said you need to have it done ... do what you want too..... But if it is part of your package I would make sure they do them either before or after...

I am having a friend who is a photographer take some casual shots of us just for the sign in board at the reception. But we only have to pay for the film. Its part of his wedding present.

None for me. I have plenty of pics of us dating. If I need a couple pic I use one of those. No need to spend more money IMHO :)

We are not doing engagement photos. I don't see the point. Like other people have said, I would rather put my money elsewhere. We have so many good photos to use that are free!

We didn't do engagement pictures. Would've been nice, but I found better uses for the money. If you already paid for it though, I would definitely get them done - before the wedding!

We didn't either--it was included-so we just negotiated for more pictures in the album instead-you might want to try that

I'm not doing engagement pictures too, and I'm also using Patken. I feel as if too much time has passed and people already know about the wedding. I'm just going to use those pictures in my album.
