GUESS who I met last night?

I was at the radio station and Joselito, one of the guys who does promotions/board-op, comes in to tell me who is the special guest on the Party 105 show, Strong Island Street Wheels. He says, 'Do you know Run-DMC?'

Of course I know RunDMC.

'Well, DMC is coming in tonight.'
'DARRYL MCDANIELS???? HERE??????????'
'Yep.'
'OMGWTFBBQ. Can you introduce me?'
'Sure!'

SO, 6:30 rolls around, and I'm in the conference room, calling DH to ask him where he is, because he's supposed to be picking me up. I get off the phone and look down to see AnnMarie and Darryl McDaniels waving up to me to let them in. Someone is already on their way downstairs to get them though.

Joselito comes to get me, and brings me into the Party studio and says:
'Darryl, this is Rachel, one of the jocks on LIR' (this is instantly one of the coolest moments of my life, as I'm not just Rachel, but 'Rachel, one of the jocks on LIR' as I'm being introduced to a Freaking Pioneer of Old School Rap).
'It is such an honor to meet you, sir. My husband and I have Run-DMC's Greatest Hits in the car right now!!!'
'Oh really? Well, it's lovely to meet you too, Rachel.'
(We shake hands, and Joselito takes our picture. He said he'd email it to me. Don't worry, I'll stay on him for that.)

DH, poor thing, is kicking himself, as if he'd been on time to pick me up, he would've been outside WITH DMC. He did get to walk by the studio and see him, however.

And that, my dears, is the story of how I met the King of Rock.

Jerry- he sometimes does traffic this week he is on 1010 doing soprts this week.
