Looking for a girls night out without going to a club. Looking for a nice hangout, but Im not familiar with either place. Any opinions?

Definitely Dip. Fuelray is okay (I actually used to live down the block from it) but I think you'll have a better time at Dip. Plus, there's fondue at Dip. You can't go wrong with fondue

I'm pretty sure that it's cool if you just hang out there but you can definitley find other places on 3rd Ave (a lot of neighborhood-type bars) to go out as well. If you decide to go to Fuelray though and pass up the fondue, there are tons of places on and around West 3rd Street to go out--Fat Black Pussycat, Blue Note, Rumor, and the Red Lion on Bleecker.
ETA: It should be noted that I DID actually attend classes in law school and did NOT spend all my time walking from bar to bar in the Village. I didn't walk, I stumbled
