Does anyone actually have the flush style album?
Hey Modern Brides!
Did anyone opt for the traditional 10"x10" sized, flush style wedding photo album?
Anyone?

Yea? So, one big picture per page...All the way to the edge of the page...
I think I still want that. How many pages/pictures did you get?

Re: Does anyone actually have the flush style album?
is that the one where the pictures go all the way to edges?
If so, it looks beautiful, my brother has one, but you should be careful when people look through it. Some people turn the pages with their nails (?!) and it starts to crease the corners a bit and bend the pictures back. Don't get me wrong, they love it but after 7 years my SIL told me she regrets not warning people when they went through it not to grab at the edges and be more gentle.
Just an FYI, I'm sure this is the case for the matted albums as well, you just probably notice it more when its the actual picture getting bent around.

Yes, I believe it is when the pics are the page. I choose it because I figured I could mount and mat pictures in an album if I wanted to - but I won't be able to do flush.

How many did you get? How long will it take?

Re: Does anyone actually have the flush style album?
25 pages, so 50 pictures in the album and it can take up to 8-9 months to get.

Re: Does anyone actually have the flush style album?
I did - 36 photos. I now have my parent's wedding album and I have always loved the flush photos. Plus, with the way our photographer took many of the photos we chose for the album, I thought the flush would look better than the matted album.

I will honestly say that both DH and I were very critical of how we look in photos. But we did not love the proofs for a variety of reasons. We didn't hate them, but I think we were both hoping that they were going to be a lot nicer. Some of the posed shots that we chose for the album, like the group shots, had a lot of space in the background area, like he was too far away when he shot them. I just had this feeling that they needed to be the full page size and and if we stuck to one photo per page, with the mat style, it just wouldn't look that great. I know we could have put more than one photo per page, but honestly, after all the $ we spent on the wedding, I didn't want to spend any more on photos that we didn't love. Also, we had a tough time even chosing the 36 we did, so trying to choose more and decide which ones to group etc., was more work than either of us really wanted to put in to it.
I don't know if I am expressing this clearly, but hopefully that helps. Oh, BTW, they told me 4 months for the album. I think they have great turnaround time, though. They gave me the Thank you notes 1 week after we made our selections
