Re: what are my different options for guest books?
I think someone is usually assigned...like a BM, GM or usher, they 'rally' up the guests, I guess the same person that you would choose as a guestbook attendant.

Re: what are my different options for guest books?
We are getting a big serving platter that has a cute picture in the middle with our names and wedding date on it. Everyone will sign it and then you bake it for 30 minutes and all the writing will stay on it. I think its a nice thing for us to keep and use at the same time. Here is the web site:www.sayanythingceramics.com
They are the cheapest that I have found so far.

Re: what are my different options for guest books?
A signing board is a good idea. You can have one of your engagement pictures blown up to a poster size and have your guest sign the board. This is normally done in front your your room at the reception hall.

I used ultra fine point Sharpies for mine. No smudges
Mine was supposed to be in a stand but reception hall forgot that detail. They placed it on the piano that was in the center of the lobby, right next to the table cards.
I bought my frame at Kohls and the mat I ordered from Pictureframes.com because it was an odd size.
