Plus Size BM Dress Dilemma Help!!

We went to David's bridal, and David's only goes up to a size 24, it seems as if the dresses only are made for slender women.. I heard there's a website that has nice affordable plus size dresses, but I was thinking to get a simple dress from Ashley Stewart or someplace , then we can go to another store and get simple dresses,for the other girls
My friend was like, she doesn't mind sitting out of the wedding because she doesn't want to mess up our pictures. I was like r u crazy!!!!!!!!!! It's not about a damn picture!!!
Plus FH's 2 sisters are in it and they are Plus sizes too!

All three times in my life when I was a bridesmaid, I wore a plus size. I got two of the dresses at smaller exclusive shops and they made the dresses at extra cost because they were considered 'custom'. The third dress was made at Kleinfeld's. It stinks that plus sizes cost more but I would think that any shop would make any size for a price.

OOOOH - I just had another thought.You may want to ask your bridal shop if they would be willing to order extra fabric from the dresses you are ordering. Take that fabric, one of the other dresses, and have an outsides seamstress copy it. It may be expensive but you never know!

You may also choose to have your girls pick their own dresses in one color. It may not be the ideal but at least everyone will be comfortable.

I'm trying to also look at like Ashley Stewart. Get her dress , then get the other girls based on what we get the plus sizes..

another option is to use the same dress designer/color/fabric, but have each BM pick her own dress. this way everyone can pick a style that is flattering for her and your plus-size BM won't feel like everyone else is getting this particular dress cause it was the only one that fit her. i have a plus-size BM, and this has worked out well so far...

Does the BM want to try on the dress?? Most designers will go up to size 26-30 (Emme going up a little higher). If she wants to try it on that could be tricky (thats where i had trouble). If you pic a BM dress that is flattering and just order it in her size, I'm sure it will work out well.

I love Alfred Angelo separates. My adult attendants will be wearing them.

I also love the fact that the plus sized attendant I have will be comfortable. She was once made to wear a style in a bridesmaid dress that was not flattering or comfortable for her and I swore up and down I'd never do that to her. I remember how it felt when I had been heavy. It isn't fun at all. I think the brides need to take that into consideration when they choose dresses.

Alfred Angelo has nice styles...
Mori Lee dresses come in plus sizes and they have a lot of really nice styles at affordable prices. Emme is a plus size line that comes in small sizes also. Jordan has great styles that come in plus also.
