did anyone have a GOOD experience with david's bridal alterations?

So, I just bought a ticket to come up during my spring break (march 21-27) and took the plunge to make an appt for alterations at Davids- I just feel like I don't have any time to make another choice or look for someone else-

Did anyone have a good experience there? Or, could someone reccommend someone else I could call that they think did an awesome job in the suffolk area?

Thanks!

I have the same question as you, tinkerwdw.

I ordered my dress at David's in Queens, and it will arrive at or around march 17th.

omg....do not get anything altered there. i have heard so many horror stories about getting dresses altered there. a matter of fact my friend was going to get her bridal gown there and the bm dresses and when she was in the fitting room trying on her dress there was a bp of 6 girls that came in to get there dresses for a wedding on friday and she said that every dress was hemed wrong and if they wanted it fixed it would be the amount to hem the dress and the amount that was due left over for the dress and the intial hem the first time around. she took the dress off and walked right out. that is not the first time that i have heard that happen. when i went to go look at dresses a smiliar situation happened there also. if anything take the dress to be altered somewhere else.

I only went there to try on dresses, but I saw the line at the front of the store and there seemed to be MANY unhappy people there- more than what I saw at other shops.
