??? I have to do this soon (like next week).

We're going to do our wedding date and not sure what else yet. He's coming up with something on his own.

I had his initials, my initals and our wedding date engraved in mine.

On an aside they printed it WRONG and instead of HMM (my initials) it says HAMM...so annoying!!

No Joke... friend's of ours got married over 2 years ago and that's what was engraved in his wedding band.. I didn't believe it and I saw it.. they have a very open relationship so it's not like he has a ball and chain on him, so I don't really know why he got that put on.. who knows?

On his band I put our wedding song ' I could not ask for more' and our wedding date

On my wedding band he put :Happily ever after and the wedding date
(My ering says: Once upon a time and the date we met)

I have not chosen my band yet. I am a Jewish bride and Jewish people are not supposed to have a band with holes in it used during the actual ceremony. So this means I cannot get married in a diamond band.

I plan on borrowing my sister's solid gold band that she used during her pregnancy (her hands got fat) as 'something borrowed' and eventually using a solid band of my own to coordinate with my e-ring.

In the mean time, the inside of my solid band will read a transliterated hebrew sentence that says 'Ani L'Dodi V'Dodi Li' which means 'I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine'

Lets fast forward to...
...an anniversary when FH, under STRONG suggestion (), MAY decide to get a diamond band for his beloved.

Hysterical! I love it. My wedding ring has a very open, sort of antique motif, so it doesn't leave me much room to get creative with the engraving. I'm just having FH's initials and the wedding date. I think he said he's going to have my name and the date engraved on his.

i wanted our wedding song (someone like you) and our wedding date, but FH didn't like the idea.

That's a really cute idea--having each other's initials and the wedding date! I also have an antique style e-ring and we're getting the wedding band made to match, so I hear you about the small amount of space.

PS: your doggie is so cute! is that a shih tzu or lhasa?

I like what my parents have inscribed on the OUTSIDE of thier bands...( they have very different but gorgeous bands)

they have 'you and no other' but in french.

If I do it on the inside but in english is that copying?

We each came up with what we wanted to write in the other's ring. I have to say, I was touched with what FH has engraved.
