Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba
Has anyone been there? I am thinking about booking the 3 night honeymooner package. My aunt is giving us a week at her timeshare there, but I also wanted the whole "honeymoon suite" feel, instead of just a room. Am I crazy? FH thinks I am....

I checked tripadvisor.com on that place and there were SO many great things about it. We were going to book there but we wanted all inclusive instead. I still check their web cam to see the beach everyday!

Re: Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba
We went there for our honeymoon for 7 nights and we LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it! We are even thinking of going back for our 1st anniversary. It is very quiet and relaxing- they really cater to couples and it is a quiet and romantic spot. We stayed in the new Tara Suites and I would guess that more than half of those staying there were honeymooners.
They do not have a lot to do at the hotel in terms of activities, but you are close enough to take a cab to whatever you might want to do. We thought the beach there was the best of all the hotels - we checked out the high rise area and the other low rise hotels. The beach at the Bucuti was larger, with more shade huts and you were far enough away from other people that it was quiet. If you have any other specific questions, FM me.

Re: Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba
Oh what a tease - I want to stay at Bucuti so badly!!! My FH wants/needs more activity right at the facility, so we're going to do one of the high-rises instead. All reviews are excellent, and there are no kids allowed, plenty of space, quiet, etc. I guess we didn't want to have to cab everywhere and have more of an inclusive atmosphere where we were...but if it was solely up to me I'd be at Bucuti. It looks gorgeous and intimate - and the best part are those Tara Suites...and it's affordable! At the high rise we can't afford any kind of suite...but I guess it's the price you pay for "activity". Anywhere you stay on Aruba I'm sure you'll love....but if FH lets you pick the place completely then do it!!!

Re: Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba
I cannot say enough great things about this place. I went there with my husband for our honeymoon ... we stayed 7 nights there and 3 nights Hyatt Unfortunately, my hubby got an infection and was hospitalized for one night while we were at the Bucuti ... but the people at the Bucuti were delightful. They would drive me back and forth to the hospital to see him and put fruit baskets in our room in mornings until he was better saying, "Hope you feel better." The rooms are beautiful. The staff is wonderful. We wished we could have just spent the rest of the time at the Bucuti rather than switching hotels. The Hyatt is pretty fun ... but it doesn't have the quiet charm of the Bucuti.
Hope this helps!
