LOST: no, no, no! You ask questions *first*!!
Hey! Look! Claire's back! We found Claire! We found the pregnant lady! No, no you didn't. She stumbled back into camp while you idiot campers were playing golf and discouraging Sawyer from disrobing (I'll get you for that!).
So she's all amnesia-cakes, and like 12 months pregnant with what appears to be an oblong medicine ball of some kind.
Jin(the korean guy) getting drilled with Ethan's mystery-weapon was pretty funny, until Ethan went all psycho (well, psycho-er?) with his threat of picking off the red shirts one by one. Ooh!! Please start with Kate! Please!!
Boone... Worst. Guard. Ever. Stop dreaming about Locke and pay attention!
Shannon... do you really think it's wise to wear chandelier earrings when you're a castaway? Are you really getting all your survival tips from Ginger?
Shut up Locke! And Jack too, for that matter! You guys are the worst at protecting things!
Charlie's flashback... weak, slightly enlightening, but when the flashback girl said he 'could never take care of anyone', I think she meant financially and emotionally support... not ice some guy mafia-style!
Hurley's eulogy... I heart Hurley! 'Sorry I always called you Steve.'
To sum up... we didn't really learn anything new. Claire found her own way home. Charlie killed the one guy who could have cleared at least some stuff up and a red shirt got killed! The plot didn't advance so much as, time passed! Kate's still annoying, Sayid is still trying to get his swerve on with Shannon, Boone luuuuuuuurves Locke and Charlies is cold as ice... except when he loves himself some wacky preganat lady!
And please, will someone explain to Sawyer that less talking, and more shirtlessness is a good thing!

I totally agre with about the plot not advanced. And this time I wasn't fooled by next weeks fancy promo.I know it will be just as piontless.
Charlie's back story, was a little off track, tihink. it seemed like a long story to get to the pint that he wants to take of care of a woman. and they left out the part about how he left the Shire. . .
As for the mystery weapon, the Husband, whose knowledge of weapons I find somewhat disturning said mater of factly, when raido folks were discussing it, ' I thought it is was bollo.'
Whatever that is. Not a tie, I don't think.
Another interesting point he raised-- No Hurley back story? Multiple back stories for others?.Poor Hurley. We all heart Hurley.
Did the god re-appear when Claire did? I thought he was gone a-missing.
And how coem no one questioned Kate's ability to use a gun? They don't know she is a killer, right?
And am I readignto much into it, or does Jin know or suspect that his wife speaks English & he jsut not letting that he knows, while sheis not lettingon that she undestand what they are saying.
Do you think he speaks English too & they are both pretending? That would just be dumb.

I heard them talking about the episode on PLJ this morning and was so confused because they called people by real names & such and wasn't funny ...

Okay, I nearly wet myself when I read that last bit! and WORD!

Yeah it was a bollo I think, but I was baking cookis at the same time Jin got knocked out so I didn't see that whole part.
And how come no one questioned Kate's ability to use a gun? They don't know she is a killer, right?
I don't think so, although who knows what is a major bone of contention with me!
And am I readignto much into it, or does Jin know or suspect that his wife speaks English & he jsut not letting that he knows, while sheis not lettingon that she undestand what they are saying.

Mr. Boots and I were arguing about this for 20 minutes. He think that Jin does speak English and that they are totally lying to each other and it's all a big 'gift of the Magi' thing...except with language, and Korea, and no gifts. I think that they were all wonky with each other because there's baby drama... either Sun wants to get pregnant and Jin doesn't want her to, or the other way around.
It's going to be something stupid, I just know it!

Re: LOST: no, no, no! You ask questions *first*!!
word on the gift of the Magi- I almost wrote that myself.I'm not sure about the baby thing-maybe she lost a baby?
or maybe they were just all shifty eyed because of the whole, 'I know you know that I know, but think that I don't know you know' thing?
ETA- Lord, you knwo what a Bollo is too? I coudln't find a defintion on-line.
I was starign intently & couldn't tell- you could hear it roe than see it. And , accoring to the husband- nerd, even if that was a bollo, the sound effect was extended for dramatic effect.
Nerd.

This is such a GREAT recap. Totally on the mark. Especially with the earrings. I was thinking the exact same thing. Quite the accesorized for the jungle. And seriously, I do wish Locke and Charlie would shut up already!

Who doesn't enjoy monkeys!
And a bolo is actually a long knife... I thought a bolo was that rope with the weights on either end that you swing around your head and then throw at someone to trip them up, or ensnare them... like a handsfree lasso.
But I can't think of the name!
ETA: OMG, Jin was on Angel? And Sun is that old? She looks like she's 17!

That's what Jean thought it was too. I guess he also had the name wrong.
I actually thought Jin & Sunlooked older onLost than they do in other picutres/performances.
The somber koreanthign, I guess. SUn looks younger than 32 in her IMDB picture.

I want them to cut to the chase and give us Hurley's backstory already!!It ***** that we've seen two of Charlie, Kate, and Jack and no Hurley action!!!
And what exactly did they do with Ethan's body?? Waaaay too open ended, which probably means he'll be 'reanimated' by the island.
Nice recap - I'm new to them this week and have been thouroughly enjoying them. Especially the use of the word wonky in your post - one of my favorite words ever!!
