Need major advice...Girls please help..Long

Hi girls...I am under a different screen name because some people on here know me and the person I am having a problem with...My MOH is a family member of mine...I was her maid-of honor and her wedding was pretty much the 'end all' as far as she and her family thought...I was there for her every step of the way with any help she needed...Well, she got pregnant at the time I got engaged...She is the type of person that always has to be in the spotlight and can't be happy for anyone else...Well, to make a long story short, I expressed to her how sad I was because she hasn't been involved in anything with my wedding AT ALL and she is the supposed matron-of honor...Well, my birthday past recently and she never called me and she recently found out what the sex of her baby is and she didn't even call me to tell me, but she called EVERYONE else in the family...I am so upset and sad that I have been sitting here crying...How can I have a person like that as my MOH?? Please help!!! Am I wrong??

You're not wrong. Some people only think about themselves and don't realize they're doing it (or do). People like you who help out as much as possible are few and far between. Just brush it off and seriously consider choosing someone else as your MOH.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Believe me I understand. It stinks that the happiest time in your life brings out the worst in people. I would consider getting a new MOH. You don't want someone to stand up for you on your wedding day who only has luke warm feelings or less about your wedding. She seems like a very self centered person and you don't need any added stress. Hang in there! We're here if you need to vent at any time.

I don't think you're wrong but unfortunately, really, the only thing you can do is talk to her. I know that its going to be hard to do but its not rigth what you are going through. I know she is probably up in everything that is going on in her life, and I don't blame her, but as MOH she really needs to be more involved and see passed herself. I'm so sorry you are going through all of this

Girls, I don't know what I would do without you all... From the second I got engaged, she has had major issues and its not fair anymore to me to have to deal with it.

its NOT fair, and you shouldnt have to deal with it. I know its hard to kick someone out of the BP, BUT its harder to have someone standing by your side on the one of the most important days in your life, knowing that they are nothing but negative.

Thats a day, more than any other, that you need to be surrounded by love and support, and it seems like this person offers neither. If a big part of the fear comes from the thought of you 2 not speaking again... you have to think... is that really a LOSS to you? it doesnt really seem like it to me.
