400 Days To Go...and I'm a little crazy...

So, I have this personal rule about presents. We have gotten many beautiful gifts, and my personal rule is that I send out a thank you 2 weeks later...at the latest.

Since our engagement party was two weeks ago, I wanted all of them out this week. Well, I ran out of our Thank You Cards...


So I ordered more. They came in last night, I crazily spent an hour doing them instead of sleeping and then realized..... the FOUR BOOKS OF HEART STAMPS that I bought to send out Thank You's.... WERE AT FH's HOUSE in JERSEY!!!!!

Ugh. So seriously, could have waited till next week (Tuesday) when I saw him to use those stamps. I mean, no one is really going to care and it's only a few days.

But since I'm a little crazy... I bought MORE heart stamps and sent them out a minute ago.

So, do you think that all of my credit card companies are going to think the 'I Love You' heart stamps are cute in like... August when I am using my 80 unused stamps?

Am I a little crazy? (MY MOH, SFP0214, says I am - and I agree).

I don't think you are nuts. I grew up with a family that if you didn't call the minute you got a bday card from them, thanking them, they continued to call my mom and ask ' Did Erin ever get our card...' It still drives me nuts. They don't give you ANY time to respond in proper time to their guesture! I am big on making my own Thank You cards, and although I like to personalize some, I do have a few ready to go for anything. They take the fun out of being polite!!!

You are not crazy at all!! Being in the billing section of my company, I never even look at the stamps I am narotic also though with the thank you's! I have to get them out immediately so that 1: I don't forget & 2: Poeple stop calling to see if I got their present

I even screamed at FH that other day bc he didn't tell him til 2 weeks after we received an engagement gift from his cousin that he deposited into the bank account! I was livid bc I needed to send the thank you

Ok, Kiddo: Thank you for the compliment. I made them on shutterfly and they are awesome. They are like 10 bucks for 12 and they look great. If you (or anyone) were interested in doing them, I'd suggest doing 'matte' instead of the 'glossy' - my first batch were glossy and I looked a bit yellow. The second batch is matte - and I look better - and I like the look of the card.

Ok, Kissy, my BFF: I'm glad you are nerotic (sp? - I thought you wrote NARCOTIC at first - like a druggie!!!) too. I yelled at Frank too because seriously - he deposits the checks and money but we didn't send a card yet?! I can't do that!!!!! I have to send it out immediately.

My family already got theirs - I did them first because they travelled out of their way to get there. And I heard that they liked them.

I guess I can always use the 60 extra stamps on my Save The Dates....as long as the Post Office doesn't raise their rates!!!!

Another note on that - I was afraid I was being cheesey on have a picture thank you - but so many people have said great things about it. There are people that have only met him OR me once (or even NEVER) and so when they get the card and get to see a pic of us, or post a pic of us on their fridge (one lady said she kept it by her bed----weird), they feel more connected.

I just sent one to a cousin of his I never met but who sent us a beautiful gift. It was a great way to show her who I am.

Just to let you know how nuts I am...

I ordered STD business cards online and attatched them to magnets... DIY STD magnets, way cheaper.. FH picked the design and the font.. got them back almost two weeks ago...

Well.... in the middle of the night on Monday, I decided I didn't LOOOOVVVEEE them, and justified making another batch of them online this time using a B&W photo of us and just simply 'STD and the date'... The got delivered this morning...

Soooo.. now I have 200 STD cards... still no addresses from deadbeat Mom's and Dad's and FH doesn't know about the second batch!!!
I'm a horrible, horrible person!

YOU DIDN'T!!!!! Oh how Brian will kill you!! Which ones are you sending out??? Don't think you are nuts...I received mine in the mail the other day & they spelled 'Invitations' wrong so they are sending me 100 more...So now I have 100 that I can't use & 100 that will be delivered on Tuesday...I like them, but I really wanted to do a photo one & now I am regretting it! I have to show you the cards I got to attach the save the dates to!

Leese-I really like that Thank you & think it is so personal! I wish I had a good picture of FH & I but we don't There are so many people in the family that have not seen or met Jay...WE really should start a club or even get coffee the 4 of us!

Did I make a good or bad decision?! I'm going to have to send the original ones to his family... he designed it after all. I just didn't like how the font was so tiny for our names!
(I'm just justifying my purchase...)

oh my gosh - you need to tell me about that- i live down the block from flower barn and i heard that they give good prices. i was just going to call to make an appt!

i really need to do save the dates soon.... i wanted to wait till august, but we shall see.

After wasting my life getting my Biology degree and currently persuing my Masters in Education... My dream job really is to be the next Martha Stewart (minus the scandal). I can't tell you how many times I watch the movie 'The Wedding Planner'.... lol

But I actually like how simple they are... I'm gonna send it to my family and friends so they already know us:)
