Hi girls

My husband and I have a one bedroom second-floor apartment for rent in the village of Lindenhurst. Some of the features:

Newly Renovated (Painted and Carpeted)
Beautifully Tiled Full Bathroom
Lots of Closet Space
Living Room/Kitchenette Combo
Air Conditioning
Very Bright and Sunny -- lots of Windows & a skylight
Within Walking Distance of LIRR
Offstreet Parking (driveway)
Semi-Private Entrance

Rent is $1,100 including heat, electric, and basic cable. A/C in $25 extra per month in summer. Premium Cable is $40 each per month. Optonline available at extra cost also.

Have you tried putting it in the local paper? My MIL just tried it for the first time ( She usually contacts her REA) and she got alot of calls and rented the property shortly after.

Not yet...we had it rented for 5 months, but they just bought a house, so now we are looking for tenants again.

You should also try Craigslist.com (free) or the pennysaver. We found our current apt (in Lindenhurst) in the pennsaver.

I love it....but the Kit. is way to small for my Fiance...he loves to cook...and the kit for us is a big thing when lookin for an apart.

I haven't tried CraigsList yet. I was very successfuly finding newlyweds/couples-to-be last time and feel that LIW/LIF is a safe platform for finding tenants. Sometimes you get a lot of wierd calls from internet and newspaper ads. Just my experience. We're going to try this first and see how it goes.

In answer to pets, we don't allow dogs or cats (we had a problem with a previous tenant and their dogs, and my husband is allergic to cats). But if you have a caged animal, FM me and ask and I'll see if we're okay with it. We have birds ourselves, so birds would be acceptable.

I know I've done this on her other posts -but I must do it here too - Amy and her DH are awesome landlords! (As her current tenant, I ought to know.) Really, they have a wonderful place that's perfect for a new couple starting out. And, they are as nice and accomodating as can be. If you're looking, I would definitely FM her!
