Re: Question.... About Chicken Cutlets that are dated Feb. 17
Were they dated 'buy by February 17th' or 'use by February 17th'? If it's 'buy by' they're usually good for a few days after that point, but 'use by' I wouldn't trust them.

Re: Question.... About Chicken Cutlets that are dated Feb. 17
When did you buy them? How long were they in the fridge? Smell them, if they smell the slightest bit funky don't chance it!!

Bought them a weak ago. Forgot about them. Cleaned the fridge the other day and found them.

Throw them out if they've been in your fridge for a week.

Sell by.
Then they should still be good, but like boop said, smell them, that's the best bet. If there's a weird odor, or if they have excess slime, throw them away.

Good idea, better to be safe than sorry. If you DO decide to cook them though for some reason, just be sure to cook them to 165 degrees

Re: Question.... About Chicken Cutlets that are dated Feb. 17
You did the right thing.
DH is sooooo overly cautious about that kind of stuff. If something remotely starts to look like it's going bad in our fridge he throws it out...and everything AROUND it!!! No joke. 'It's been mingling with the rotten food' he says.
We lose more good food that way....
