When do you put engagement announcements in the newspaper???

My mom wants to do this so bad...BUT I thought you couldn't do this until a few months prior to the wedding!! Anyone know??

I believe that happens about a year before the wedding.

Hi. We did it right after we got engaged...it was about one year B4 the wedding. We put it in both our local papers....

they say about a year before...

if you want it in newsday, it's $55 or something and you include a picture.

the locals are free.

i've been wanting to get them in - but we don't have a picture that we both agree on. was going to wait for an eng. picture from a photographer, but since that is taking forever, i think i'll just take a bunch of shots and choose one.
