Re: How did you write out thank you cards?
Writing cards from unborn children seems a bit creepy to me. I wrote all my thank yous from me and my hubby saying something like, 'Thank you for the adorable receiving blankets. They are so so soft and cozy -- I know we will use them all the time and that the baby will love them. Hope that all is well with you, and that we have the chance to see you soon.'

personally - I hate getting thank you cards from the baby - it seems so fake - I dont know. I would so much rather get a card from the parents saying the baby is enjoying the gift and thank you.

The gifts are for the mother (and father)....the shower is to shower the mother with wishes, not the baby. I think it is very creepy when someone signs an unborn child's name to a card as that 'person' is not really officially named yet. My SIL signed her unborn son's name to the thank you cards and everyone thought the baby had been born prematurely.

My crazy Mil has been sending me cards with my unborns sons name in it. My son will be named Bryan Jr WHEN he is born and she address all her greeting cards to Bryan, Antoinette and Bryan jr. I dont really like that. What if GOD forbid something happens?

Same thing here. My MIL wrote out the Shower invites as a Shower for Laurie and Baby Jack... I'm not that happy about it especially since she is the same women who wouldn't tell anyone I was even pregnant until Christmas because 'what if' and I will only be 30 weeks for the shower (since that is the latest I can travel per my insurance) but also in our case the party is for the baby and not for the mother she is very jealous and that is pretty much the only way she would do one... lots of drama... the only reason she even is doing it at 30 weeks is because my husband insisted she couldn't do her plan b, which was to have the shower without me and she would open everything.
Thanks for your input! I thought they should come from Joe and myself only...
