Need help picking out BM dresses

I saw this dress looking threw magazines I think its really nice. Do you think this dress would look nice on all sizes? ALSO, My gown has cap sleeves do you think I should be totally different than my girls? Does that matter? Here is the dress but mine would be silver.

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

It looks like an A-line which is generally good for many different body types. As for your dress vs. their's...I don't think you have to or avoid matching. Just pick whataver suits your taste...and the same for them. HTH.

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

I'm not sure if this would be the most flattering gown for a plus sized BM. The ribbon may draw attention to the stomach area. You'll be able to make the best decision when you see it in person. As for matching your dress, I don't think that is necessary. Good luck!

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

I love it too. I saw it on line at Bill Levkoff's site. The ribbon may draw attention to the tummy area, but it is pretty. I find myself drawn to BM dresses w/ bows and ribbons around the waiste. Just too cute.

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

You really think it would draw attention to the tummy area? It just looks like the bow is up more under the breast. I guess my best bet would to have it tried on. I just really like it. I think it's so pretty. You can't see it in the picture because it's small but on the side there is I believe rhinestones. It's pretty!!!

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

I was just bridesmaid shopping this weekend and one of my girls tried on this dress. It is not the best style for different body types. It looks nice on the model, but in reality it wasn't very flattering. I went with another Bill Levkoff dress. Good luck in the search!

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

If you have any busty bridesmaids, stay away from dresses with empire waists. It draws attention to the bust and is terribly unflattering.

Re: Need help picking out BM dresses

I really like that dress. Its so hard to tell bc everybody's body is different. I think the empire has a lot to do with the way it is fitted. If you have bustier BMs they might want to order to order the dress bigger so they can take it in on top if necessary rather than have it too tight and hit in an unflattering sport. I do think an A-line is flattering on everybody.
