Bridal meltdown??

I posted this in the chateau la mer thread, but I think I need the opinions of everyone cause Im sad

hey guys..

Im kinda bummed out tonight

I dont know what it is but Im totally second guessing all my choices so far. FH called CLM to ask about something today and he said he thinks someone else booked on the same day as us.. which is fine except when we booked we booked the upstairs room bc we thought we would have a small guest list and lately Ive been hopeing to get it over 150 so we could have the downstairs room and now we may not have the option. I love CLM but the downstairs room is just a ton nicer than the upstairs

I also have been looking at all these nice dresses people post and I think mine is just icky now. UGH. I feel like I should have looked more.

Please tell me you all have days like this. I could cry!

Re: Bridal meltdown??

Yes Jenn...I def. have days like this. I think we all do at some point or another. What helps me is to rethink why I chose them in the first place....it really puts things back into perspective. I suggest you go visit CLM soon and I am sure you will quickly realize why you chose it in the first place. Cheer up

Re: Bridal meltdown??

We all have second thoughts about something we booked. Everyone wants their day to be perfect and we put so much pressure on ourselves to find the perfect place, dress ect. I'm sure your dress is gorgeous!!
Personally I think a smaller wedding is more intimate. We are having 110-125. My friend has to have at least 170 which I think is just too big just to get the room she wants. Don't worry everything will be fine. Your wedding will be beautiful!

Re: Bridal meltdown??

Thanks guys. I guess I just feel like we have soooooo long to go and maybe I should have waited. I think you're right though, I should go this weekend and visit the hall and try my dress on again...

Being a bride is NOT always fun

Going back always does the trick for me. If you second guess yourself for the next year and a half you'll drive yourself crazy. Just relax and everything will fall into place.

BTW: I always hear so many rave reviews about CLM.

Re: Bridal meltdown??

jen... you have a beautiful maggie dress that so many brides love... i hope you feel better!! I think everyone goes through these things... everynow and then i wonder if we are making the right decision by spending so much money on a wedding (especially when we havent even seen the hall yet!), but then I snap out of it... im sure you will feel better once you go visit your dress and hall!!!

Re: Bridal meltdown??

With ALL the work and planning we're going aside from our 'real' job...this seems the norm! Don't second guess about the dress cause you will put it on and it'll be wonderful! Try and de-stress as much as you can....we ALL need it!!

Re: Bridal meltdown??

I think it's normal for you to feel this way. Just remember everything happens for a reason. Im sure it will all work out. Make sure first that someone did actually book that room and not that they were just interested. The North Ritz Club put us in the book before we even gave them a deposit just in case someone else was interested in the date they would call us first to let us know.

Re: Bridal meltdown??

every other day is a day like that. Seriously. I even purchased 2 wedding gowns, because I changed my mind.

I think when you have to make so many decisions, all for the same thing, it gets overwhelming and then you finally decide on something, only to realize a little later that maybe you should have chosen X instead of Y.

SO Normal!

I can sit here and say try not to stress yourself about it all...but that's just easy to say, but so hard to do. Hang in there and know that you are not alone.

Re: Bridal meltdown??

Right before we were going to book Swan Club...I literally made myself sick about the whole thing. I had read so many not so good things on here about the Swan Club and I even made my FI check out another place the day we were due to put the deposit down at the Swan Club!!!

No place is going to be perfect in my opinion...you just have to go with what you like and NOT GET TOO CRAZY!

Re: Bridal meltdown??

Awww... I know how you feel. SOmetimes the planning and decisions can get really overwhelming! I second guessed my wedding dress! Now I remember why I loved it so much. As far as CLM... the upstairs room is very beautiful! Don't you worry! We are in the downstairs room, but upstairs you have the beautiful windows overlooking the outside and the fireplace. Don't worry, remember what makes the wedding... you and your FH!!! Try not to overthink things... when I do it, it's never good! :) Keep your chin up! Everything will be fine!

Aw Jen! Don't worry! I think we all have those days! I think going back to CLM will help you feel 100x better. It's hard not to doubt when we have so much time to think about it!
