New to the board!!Questions....

Hello,
Just got engaged on 2/12...both are teachers and wanted to get married over this summer but my sister is pregnant due on july 18th and lives in maryland...won't come june, july or august ahhhhh, whatever.... we have settled on september 05 and are between the harbor club in huntington and giorgios....any suggestions?

Welcome to the boards and congratulations on your engagement! You are planning a pretty short engagement so it is good that you are already thinking about receptions halls. How big will your guest list be? That would help narrow the choices down.

I have heard good things about Giorgios on this site. One of the brides on here - Jola - had her wedding there, I think. You can find reviews of Giorgios by doing a search under that name or using the bride's name. Good luck!

Congrats! Did you call Giorgio's and Habor Club? I would make sure that they have the night of the week (fri., sat., sun., etc.) available before you get your heart set on either one. Sept. is as popular as May for weddings, and places book up early (we booked ours over 1 1/2 years in advance). Check availability before you get your heart set on anything!

Welcome and congratulations!!!! My advice is to just get the major vendors out of the way (DJ/Band, florist, photographer/videographer, etc.) and georgio's may be able to give you a list that they recommend.

Sorry I can't give you any advice on the two choices that you are considering because I have no experiences with them...but there are plenty of girls on here that will be glad to help you out and do know more about them
