Anybody feel shorter when you gain weight
Im 5'7 and now 190lbs. I feel like Im alot shorter then when I was 135lbs.
Seriously though, I posted this on BHB too. Can anyone tell me how weight watchers works? Im not a diet person and they are right by my house so I thought I'd try it. I was much better about my habits before these last four years with FH. I have time before I need to look for a dress again since the date has been moved and my last attempt at it was soooooo tramatizing(sp). So I'd like to get atleast 30lbs. lighter. Any ideas about weight watchers and how much excersise is involved? Thanks Girls

Re: Anybody feel shorter when you gain weight
I'm not on weight watchers but a lot of my friends have done the point system. I'm pretty sure their website can explain it better than I can, but I'll give it a go. Basically, you get x amount of points you can eat in a day, and every food under the sun has a point assignment. If you exercise, you can eat more points, but as far as I know, exercising isn't mandatory. Hope that helps, but again, I'd check out their website. They probably do a better job than I do!

Re: Anybody feel shorter when you gain weight
I love ww...i did their diet three and a half years ago...lost over 40 lbs and have kept it off since then...it is a really easy way to change how youeat...I don't say its a diet bc you eat whatever you want. They teach portion sizes, and how to eat healthy. I changed the way I eat. Its not to say I don't have fast food or junk food anymore...I do...but I just don't have it whenever I'm hunger or craving it...I have it in moderation and I try not to go over board with anything on the menu if I do decide to eat there. I would definately go to the meetings if you decide to join...I don't see how online could help. The meetings motivate you to not eat the wrong things durning the week bc you know you have weigh ins. Oh and excercise helps you lose even more and faster...but that comes once you've adjusted to the program...good luck and FM if you have any more questions

Usually registration is free...if you have to pay its $30 bucks or something like that..I paid 13/week...its better to go to the meetings rather thanjoin online...I would always watch what I ate when it came closer to weigh in day...you just dind't want ot hear them tell you 'gained 2lbs' or whatever...you eanted to hear 'another 3lbs gone'...its motivation to stick with it...

Re: Anybody feel shorter when you gain weight
Okay ladies, I didnt make the meeting but I called. It's $10.95 per week and in my area you get 3 missed week passes. Until March 5th they are waiving the $15 registration fee so when you sign up all you have to give them is $10.95 she said and it's a pay as you go. You can also switch between programs until you figure out which one is for you. You have to show up 30min. before your first meeting and the meeting lasts 35-40min. and you have to stay for a few minutes after to do your evaluation for the program you pick. Im going tommorow morning.

Re: Anybody feel shorter when you gain weight
I used to be quite overweight. Now that I am no longer considered obese and at a normal weight for my height, people tell me I look taller. I am still 5 ft 8 but the truth is, I feel better about myself and as a result I stand up straight, feeling more confident in myself. I am healthier and much more active. Losing weight, no matter what method you choose, almost automatically boosts your self esteem and you just walk and carry yourself in a different manner.Welcome New Vendors
