Was any vendor LATE on your wedding day??....and...

how did it ultimately effect your whole entire day?

Anyone have to run into overtime w/ the hall afterwards?

The great thing was I had no problems with my vendors in regards to time, the sad part was it was my own family who caused us to be late and rushed.

I will never forgive them for that.

I had serious issues with my photographer and time. But he left my wedding almost 2 hours early. I caused a stink and they tried and fixed it....i'm still mad about the whole thing but you can' t go back and change things.

All my other vendors were early and did everything perfectly.

The bus we rented to transport bridal party and family from Manhattan to Long Island was late in arriving, then got lost and stuck in traffic so I think they arrived about 1 1/2 hours later than planned which cut into our formal picture taking and ceremony practice prior to the actual start time.

Our main photographer was late too (said he got a flat tire) but since we had 2 photographers, we did start taking some pictures with the extra photographer and since the rest of the bridal party was late it didn't matter too much.

Things started on time though.

I had no trouble with any of my vendors running late. (Now my family...that was another story.)

The only vendor that was on time was my photographer, who couldnt start taking picts because the flowers werent there!
My florist was supposed to be there early to take picts, but showed up an hour late.
The DJ didnt show up until a few minutes before the ceremony was going to begin.
The Rabbi was late, which held up the ceremony.
What a stressful nightmare to have the banquet manager to keep coming up and saying 'your Dj is still not here' 'the flowers still have not arrived'

our photographer was really early so my mom got all nervous & was rushing b/c she felt we were running late, but we were ready when we said we would be.

one band member was late b/c he got in a minor car accident near teh reception hall, but they weren't palying the CH anyway, so the other guys set up & he was there in plenty of time.

My florist, Jack and Rose, wasn't late, but they were very slow. They arrived at the church at 2:00, and couldn't manage to arrange pew bows on 14 pews, put down 5 altar pieces, and arrange one strand of ivy on a railing in 2 hours.

They were still arranging flowers when the guests arrived, causing the ceremony to start late, therefore we went overtime on the limos and had to pay extra.

Our limo driver was on time, but he got lost quite a bit despite the map and detailed directions I gave him....

Yes my DJ was late to the ceremony and in turn it screwed up my vocalist. The background music for her song was all messed up.
I got refunded for that but it still doesn't change the fact that it sounds terrible on my video.

My DJ's helper with the equipment was late was late for the reception. But it has a happy ending. We took the time to meet and greet guests and served dinner. Then when his helper came the all extended our time for FREE by 1.5 hours ..I htink they just lost track of time or didnt want to interrupt becasue almost all of our guests stayed to the end and instead of ending at 11:15 it went on till almost 1

We went to a baby shower sat and one girl said it didnt feel like a wedding but a party..and thats what we wanted

YES -- one of my LIMOS was late. It was the same limo that picked up the guys (on time) and then was supposed to pick up my BMs. Supposedly the driver was new and got lost. But the church is literally 2 minutes from the house where we were.

I ended up being about 20 minutes late to my ceremony because of it. But everything still turned out fine. I felt a bit rushed while doing my photos at WBG but that would have probably happened anyway.

The lateness caused me to go into more limo overtime than I had budgetted and planned for -- and they actually tried to CHARGE me for it even thought it was there fault!! But we resolved that issue.
