Repost from Parenting: The sex of the baby?

How many weeks were you when you found out? My sister found out when she was 18 weeks, but I had always heard that you couldn't find out until 20 weeks. I'm going for my 18-week sono tomorrow, so as long as the baby cooperates, could I really find out tomorrow?

Well this being my 4th pregnancy, I always had to wait, atleast until I was in my 20th week to find out. Even though I'm in my 6th month I still ask if anything has changed?

I've heard 20th week is when you find out the baby's sex.

At 18 weeks, they saw the sex. We didn't want to know until my 27th week. SHe said that she knew though at the 2nd tri sono....

I ended up finding out at 18-weeks. They kept asking me beforehand if I wanted to find out, so I'm figuring it's normal to be able to figure it out at 18 weeks. The tech said she was 90% sure that it was a boy, lol, so perhaps if I had found out at 20 weeks, she would've been 100% sure? I don't know.
